Gurugram: Pramerica Life Insurance today announced the launch of Pramerica Rising Bharat Fund, an equity-oriented ULIP fund designed to enable retail policyholders to participate in India’s rapidly growing midcap segment. The fund is benchmarked to the Nifty Midcap 150 Index, which comprises 150 companies ranked immediately after the top 100 companies by market capitalisation, representing businesses with strong growth potential and the capacity to emerge as future market leaders. Essel-linked FMP case: Kotak AMC gets partial relief
The Securities Appellate Tribunal (SAT) has granted partial relief to Kotak Mahindra Asset Management Company in a case related to certain fixed maturity plans (FMPs) that had exposure to Essel Group entities. The tribunal set aside the Securities and Exchange Board of India’s (Sebi’s) direction to disgorge management fees but upheld penalties imposed by the market regulator.
Women cut FD exposure from 45% to 20%, raise equity MF share to 32%: report
Indian women investors are rapidly shifting away from traditional “safety-first” portfolios, with allocations to fixed deposits falling from around 45% to 20% over the past five years, while equity mutual fund exposure has risen from about 10% to 32%, according to a report by Equirus Wealth.
SAT partly allows Kotak AMC appeal in Essel FMP case, upholds ₹1.6 crore penalty on trustee, executives
In its interim order dated 27 August 2021, Sebi had alleged that Kotak AMC violated mutual fund regulations in these investments and directed the company to refund part of the management and advisory fees collected from investors in the schemes. It also asked Kotak AMC to not launch any other FMPs for six months from the date of the order.
